State Report "On the State and Protection of Environment of the Russian Federation in 2017-2018"

The State Report “On the State and Environmental Protection of the Russian Federation” is a unique information and analytical material containing systematized data on the current state of the environment of the Russian Federation in 2017 and 2018, including information on the state of components of the environment and types of natural resources, natural ecosystems, processes and phenomena, natural and anthropogenic factors, including the main economic activities affecting the state of the environment, analysis, trends and forecast of their impact on the environment, the main achievements in the state regulation of environmental protection and environmental management.

The State Report is intended to provide reliable, systematized information about the state of the environment, natural resources, and their protection to the state authorities, scientific, public organizations and the population of Russia. It serves as the basis for the defining and implementation of the state policy in the field of the environmental development of the Russian Federation, the identification of priority areas for the activities of state authorities in this area, as well as the development of measures aimed at preventing and reducing the negative impact on the environment.

The State Report is prepared by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia in cooperation with interested ministries, federal services, agencies, other organizations and institutions. Scientific and technical support for the preparation of scientific information and analytical materials in the field of state and protection of environmental and ecological safety and the preparation of forecasts of changes in the state of the environment under the influence of natural and anthropogenic factors were carried out by Scientific Production Enterprise Cadaster.
